Village of Tampico, Illinois

My name is Dana Fellows and I’m originally from Tampico, IL but now live near Dixon, IL. I grew up in Tampico, attended school in Tampico, and met my lovely wife, Jodie (Mathias), in Tampico. I teach computer technology courses at the Whiteside Area Career Center in Sterling IL, and also teach part-time at Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon IL.
About a year ago I noticed that the domain, www.tampicoil.com, was not registered to anyone. Being someone from Tampico and someone who loves his hometown, I decided to register the domain so that it didn’t fall into the hands of someone with not as good of intentions as mine. I was thrilled when Kris Hill, the current Mayor of Tampico, contacted me and asked me to make this site an official site for the Village of Tampico.
In the next few weeks, Gage Eakins, Ethan Rockwood, (Students at WACC), Kris Hill (the mayor of Tampico, IL), and myself will be updating this site. Check in often.

I do not live in Tampico but was there a few days ago. I drove by the middle school because I heard they were starting the construction project that involved a huge addition. It took a few pictures and as you can see they have been busy.
