Well, the Readers Digest “We Hear you America” has come to a close… We didn’t make it in the money. But it was inspiring to see so many come together and vote till their fingers hurt. Thank-you everyone for taking the time to support our Village. With all the comments, for what you would spend the money on, it has helped us see what is important to the people of our community. I have saved them all and will continue to use them as a reference to the issues that concern us all. You could call it “We hear you Tampico” list. Let me know if you would like to try it for again next winter. I just can’t say thank-you enough for all the time you dedicated, over a quarter of a millions votes is truly impressive. WAY TO GO TAMPICO!

Here we are, well into the month of January all ready. Thanks goodness it’s been such a mild winter. Seems the sun has been blessing us all this year. Each day of this milder weather, even when it’s cold like today, we are one day closer to Spring.
WOOHOO! Tonight we passed the 100,000 vote mark on Reader Digest “WE HEAR YOU AMERICA” campaign. WOW! is all I can say. It is wonderful to be a part of so many people coming together and renewing a spirit in our town that no one ever really lost.
It was so great to see so many people at the Village meeting last night. I hope it continues. Having so many more involved helps us all move forward. The Village Council is giving the best job we can to represent the citizens of our Village and input is of up-most importance. Please bear with us as the overall best interest of Tampico is our greatest priority.

We have so many great and wonderful people that still claim Tampico their home. We are fortunate when former residents people like Dana use their talents to make such an unselfish contribution to our hometown.
