Village of Tampico –\u00a0Water Main Freeze<\/p>\n
The Village of Tampico is asking residents to perform the following procedures to prevent frozen water lines \/ pipes.<\/p>\n
– Allow water to run in a sink or tub in a thin stream, with at least the diameter of a pencil
\npoint, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until further notice.
\n– Keep cabinet doors under sinks open to allow heat to circulate around the pipes.
\n– Insulate or warm pipes in unheated basements or crawl spaces.<\/p>\n
The Village will be adjusting water and sewer bills to reflect this usage of service for preventative measures.<\/p>\n
