Heat Warning From ComEd

With temperatures expected to reach 100 degrees or more this week, ComEd is prepared for the heat.

Though the electric system is performing well, ComEd encourages customers to manage their energy use efficiently to save money while keeping cool during the heat.

For Example:

-Cool only the rooms in use
-Run appliances like the dishwasher and washing machine at night.
-Keep lamps and televisions away from the thermostat.
-Turn off lights and unplug electronics when not in use.
-Replace traditional incandescent bulbs with CFL bulgs, which use about 75
percent less energy.

If customers experience an outage or have any questions about their ComEd service, they are urged to call 1-800-EDISON-1 (1-800-334-7661)
